About Me

Learning, growing, living and healing is an ongoing practice

“Mollie’s forte and affinity is energy healing, and she is exemplary with it.”

– Barbara B, Shaman

My journey of learning includes formal classes and life experiences. The most significant life experiences include: divorce, a stage IV cancer journey, and saying YES to many off the beaten path journeys. These experience have given me the opportunity to get to know myself, give and receive lots of healing, practice living in the moment, and KNOWING that everything is temporary.

The Beginning

In my late 30’s I became aware of my heart asking “WHAT ELSE?” The experience of an inner voice was new and strange to me. Excitedly, I went exploring. I attended spiritual and metaphysical offerings, yoga classes, and joined Circles. Healers took me deep… I became a new expanded version of my self. I see these experiences as initiations to my profession and calling as a Wise Medicine Woman.

The first big leap in leaving conventional life was working as seasonal staff while living in a tent at The Omega Institute in 2001, 2002 & 2003. I attended classes of self-exploration, trainings, and shamanic initiations. My Omega connections and experiences validated my calling.

My passion, wonder and the business of furthering my education continues. I am in awe of the practices that awaken the personal transformational healing process and allows for a deep connection, a sense of Oneness.

Twenty-plus years later

I have attained Mastery level in BodyIntuitive & Reiki, and I am certified in BodyTalk. I continue to attend many spiritual, scientific and metaphysical trainings and I enjoy a yearly two week stint as Staff Faculty at The Omega Institute.

My extraordinary life: Spirit beckons me to live courageously and I say YES!

Before…

I graduated from The University of Cincinnati College of Design and had a successful graphic design business from 1988 to 2003 when I chose to follow another path.

Why Dandelions?

The words ‘common’, ‘ordinary’, and even ‘nuisance’ describes how many people perceive the magnanimous dandelion.

Magic
In my search for images for the MollieLama website I came across a dandelion photo that spoke to me. In my quest to determine if this was fitting for my message I found something very cool; the dandelion is described as having three very distinctive phases representing the celestial bodies:
1) the oh-so-bright yellow flower represents the sun
2) the magical puff-ball represents the moon
3) and the floating seeds represent stars.

How many times have you relied on the power of this flower to send your wishes into the world with one big puff?

Commitment
The dandelions do not give up. They are tenacious. They prosper everywhere, in the tiniest patches of well or poorly drained soil, shade or sun; all the while defying humans attempts to eliminate them by growing shorter stalks when mowed over. They laugh in our faces. This is part of their magic & intrigue — like the lion their leaves are named for, they are courageous and strong.

Medicine
Not only is the dandelion bright and cheery, it is edible…even medicinal! Every part; flower, leaves and the roots offer distinct properties for healing. Medicinal uses include a cleansing agent to increase the liver and kidneys removal of toxins/detoxifier, and fights inflammation. They even reduce constipation & water retention while improving vitality & complexion. And hey, you can make dandelions into wine, root beer or a coffee substitute!

Symbolic
I trust we all have unused, unrecognized and undeveloped qualities. I am letting the common dandelion flower remind me of this fact so I can witness and cultivate magic, commitment and medicine everywhere.
